The marimba is an exquisite instrument, and its gorgeous mellow tone could be the perfect accompaniment to your wedding day. It may seem an unusual choice, but wedding magazines have highlighted its potential and it is becoming a popular choice of wedding music in the USA where the classical marimba is more widely recognised.

My wedding marimba duo has a separate website:

www.marimbaweddings.co.uk

We have a repertoire of classical music, wedding music and other marimba music to create the perfect atmosphere during: arrival of the guests, entrance of the bride (e.g. wedding march), the signing of the register, drinks reception.

This repertoire includes; J.S. Bach: keyboard preludes, music from cello suites, Air on a G-string; the Prince of Denmark march, the Mendelsohn wedding march, Queen of Sheba, Pachelbel's Canon etc. As well as classical music, we have previously been asked to play more modern marimba music (such as Gomez, Burritt, Abe and Zivkovic), the main theme from 'True Romance', and jazz songs.

Listen to J.S. Bach 'Prelude from Cello Suite No. 1' and Michael Burritt 'Prelude No. 5' in recordings.

All recordings by Nick Baron. Please contact n_s_baron@hotmail.com or info@marimbaweddings.co.uk
